Mr. Dexter Lamar Lay was born August 25, 1970, to the parentage of Mr. Stanley Lay, Sr., and the late Mrs. Sallie Mae Vaughn. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Dexter had several jobs throughout his life, but his pride and joy was when he received his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). After receiving his CDL, Dexter joined the Tennessee Trucking Company. His hobbies include coaching “little league” football, shing, and spending quality time with his family.
Dexter was preceded in death by a sister, Angel Stegall; stepmom, Gwendolyn Rosser; and mother-in-law, Catherine Dobbins.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Melissa A.
